Silence of the Heart-OSHO
Silence usually is understood to be something negative, something empty, an absence of sound, of noises. This misunderstanding is prevalent because few people have ever experience silence – all they have experienced is noiselessness. But silence is totally different phenomenon. It is utterly positive. It overflows with a music that you have never heard before, with a fragrance that is unfamiliar to you, with a light that can only be seen by inner eyes. It is not something fictitious; it is reality that is already present in everyone-we just never look in.
All our senses are extrovert. Our eyes open outside as do our ears; our hands move outside, so too our legs. All our senses are meant to explore the outside world. But there is a sixth sense which is asleep because we have never used it. And no society, culture, or educational system helps people to make sixth sense active.
In the east the sixth sense is called’ the Third eye’ It looks inward. And just as there is a way  of hearing in, and of smelling the fragrance within. Just as there are five senses moving outward, there are five counter senses moving inward. In all, we have 10 senses, but the first sense that starts the inner journey is the third eye, and then other senses start opening up.
Your inner world has its own taste, fragrance and light. It is utterly, immensely, eternally silent. The mind cannot reach there, but you can reach because you are not the mind. The function of the mind is to be a bridge between you and the objective world, and the function of the heart is to be a bridge between you and yourself.
The silence is the silence of the heart. It is a wordless song without sound. Out of this silence flowers of love grow. Here you can find the Garden of Eden. Meditation is the key to open the door of your being.
The body knows its own silence – that is its own well being, overflowing health and joy. The mind also knows its silence, when all thoughts disappear and the sky is colour-free, just pure space. But the silence I am talking about is far deeper. I am talking about the silence of your being.
Our silence can be disturbed. Sickness can disturb the silence of your body and death is certainly going to disturb it. A single thought can disturb the silence of your mind, the way a small pebble thrown into a silent lake creates thousands of ripples, and the lake is no longer silent. The silence of body and mind are fragile and superficial, but in themselves they are good. To experience them is helpful, because it indicates that there may be deeper silences of the heart. And the day you experience the silence of the heart, it will be again an arrow of longing moving you even deeper.
Your centre of being is the centre of a cyclone. Whatever happens around it does not affect it; it is eternal silence. Whatever happens and whenever, the eternal silence of your being remains exactly the same- the same soundless music, fragrance of godliness and transcendence from all that is mortal and momentary.
It is not your silence. You are silence. The Golden Future.
Meditate Without ExpectationsThe days when you were feeling a kind of mediation happening to you were the days you were not looking for it - it was happening to you. Now you are tryihng to make it happen, and that makes all the difference. All things that are really valuable in life only happen; you cannot make them happen, you cannot do them. It may be meditation, it may be love, bliss, it may be silence.
Anything that goes beyond your mind is beyond your capacity to it. You can only do things which come in the territory of mind.
The mind is doer, but your being is not a doer. Your being is just an opening, and a deep acceptance of whatever happens, with no complaint or grudge – Just pure gratefulness. And that too, is not done by you, that is also part of happening.
Something happens to you – it so beautiful, blissful – the mind starts immediately desiring that it should happen more, more often, and  deeper. The moment mind comes in, it disturbs everything. Mind is the devil, the destroyer.
Be aware that mind should not be allowed to interfere in things of the beyond. Mind is perfectly good as a mechanic, a technician. Give your mind what it can do, but don’t let it interfere in things which are beyond its capacity. One problem is that mind desires for more. As far as the world of doing is concerned, you can have a bigger, better house, furniture – you can do everything better. It is within capacity of mind.
But beyond mind… mind can only desire and each desire is going to be frustrated. Instead of bringing more meditation, it will bring you more frustration. Instead of bringing you more love, it will bring to you more anger,. Instead of silence and peace, it will bring more traffic of thoughts –and that happens to almost everybody. You have to outgrow it.
Untry and untry again. Whenever the idea of trying arises, immediately drop it. It is going to lead you into failure, frustration….. and everybody can drop it, because it never brings anything. Drop failure, frustration, despair and hopelessness and forget all about meditation.
One day, suddenly, you will find a window opens, and a fresh breeze with new rays has filled your heart. Again, don’t commit the same mistake! Be thankful for what is happening, but don’t ask for more – and more will be coming.
Slowly, slowly it becomes your heartbeat; walking, sleeping, it is always there, it never goes. But it is not your doing. You cannot brag that “I have done it”. You can only say “ I have allowed the unknown to do it to me.”  It is always from the unknown that great experiences enter into our small hearts, and when we are trying hard to get them, we become so tense that the very tension prevents them.
When you are not trying, and you are relaxed  -  you are not even bothered about meditation and things like that – you suddenly find footsteps of the unknown, something from nowhere, approaching you. Look at it with wonder, not with desire. Look at it with gratitude, but not with greed. The Golden Future.
Feel Free, Dance A Little More
Start living this moment and you will see that the more you live, the less problems there are. Now that your emptiness is flowering and living, there is no need. When you don't live, the same energy goes sour. The same energy which would have become a flower is stuck; not being allowed to bloom, it becomes a thorn in the heart. It is the same energy.
If people can dance a little more, sing a little more, be a little more crazy, their energy will be flowing more, and their problems will by and by disappear. Hence I insist so much on dance. Dance to orgasm; let the whole energy become dance, and suddenly you will see that you don't have any head -- the energy stuck in the head is moving all around, creating beautiful patterns, pictures, movement. When you dance there comes a moment when your body is no longer a rigid thing, it becomes flexible, flowing. When you dance there comes a moment when your boundary is no longer so clear; you melt and merge with the cosmos, the boundaries are mixing.
Watch a dancer -- you will see that he has become an energy phenomenon, no longer in a fixed form, no longer in a frame. He is flowing out of his frame, out of his form, and becoming more alive, more and more alive. But only if you dance yourself will you know what really happens. The head inside disappears; you are a child once again. Then you don't create any problems.
Live, dance, eat, sleep, do things as totally as possible. And remember again and again: whenever you catch yourself creating any problem, slip out of it, immediately. Once you get into the problem then a solution will be needed. And even if you find a solution, out of that solution a thousand and one problems will arise again. Once you miss the first step, you are in the trap. Whenever you see that now you are slipping into a problem, catch hold of yourself, run, jump, dance, but don't get into the problem. Do something immediately so that the energy that was creating the problems becomes fluid, unfrozen, melts, goes back to the cosmos.
Those who live close to nature don't have many problems. I have come across indigenous groups in India who say they don't dream at all. Freud would not be able to believe that it is possible. They don't dream, but if sometimes somebody dreams, it is a rare phenomenon; the whole village fasts, prays to God. Something has gone wrong; something wrong has happened... a man has dreamed.
It never happens in their tribe because they live so totally that nothing is left in the head to be completed during sleep. Whatsoever you leave incomplete has to be completed in your dreams; whatsoever you have not lived remains as a hangover and completes itself in the mind -- that's what a dream is. The whole day you go on thinking. The thinking simply shows that you have more energy than you use for living; you have more energy than your so-called life needs.
You are missing real life. Use more energy. Fresh energies will be flowing. Don't be a miser. Use them today; let today be complete unto itself; tomorrow will take care of itself, don't be worried about tomorrow. The worry, the problem, the anxiety, all simply show one thing: that you are not living rightly, that your life is not yet a celebration, a dance, a festive -- hence all the problems.
Subtle Body
When the soul leaves the body, a period of time passes before it enter another body.
During that period, the soul exists and can manifest itself, but its manifestations are totally different than the manifestations of the physical body- as the medium is totally different. These manifestations belong to the subtle body. You may be able to see them if you are in tune - the same way you tune the radio
The physical body, as we know it, does not last forever; one day it will be brought to the cemetery. But this is not our only body. Other bodies exist within us - layer upon layer. When some body dies, the first body disappears. But body exists within us hidden, behind the physical body - it is called the subtle body. Or you can give it any name you wish, "astral body". This subtle body accompanies us even after death, and contains all our memories; our experiences, the memories of our actions, and all our conditionings.
In our journey from one physical body to another, other bodies are involved. If the subtle body did not exist, it would be impossible to enter another physical body. Using scientific language, we can say that the subtle body has a built - in programme, just like a blue print, which gives us the opportunity to find another physical body. All that you have been up to now, all that you have accumulated, all your conditionings, your experiences, your knowledge, your actions, whatever you have accumulated within yourself up to now, whatever your are - it is all part of your subtle body. If you have notices that your last thought, just before falling asleep, is the same thought that you have when you wake up in the morning. This thought was waiting within the subtle body, and it suddenly emerged , as you woke up.
This subtle body which had gathered all your desires, your passions, your lust, everything finds another physical body and it starts manifesting its potential through the physical body - wheever it finds the right opportunity.
But the subtle body may also dies, after which it is no longer with you. That death is liberation, that death is freedom - and what remains is simply existence. Ordinarily, when you die, the subtle body remains with you; but there is extraordinary death, which is the ultimate death of samadhi,. If you experience samadhi during your lifetime, you can let go of your subtle body while you are still alive, your built in  programme  is destroyed and your subtle body is dispersed.

Dream
What is real? What is unreal? To know the difference means to attain true knowledge and wisdom. To be able to distinguish between the real and the unreal, is the greatest achievement in life. What is dream? What is reality? to understand both, in their innermost core, is the way to liberation. That which exits, is eternal. That which cannot possible be manifested, that which cannot possibly acquire a form, only that is true, only that is real - only that really exists. That which has never existed, will never exist, that which does not have any other possibility but to manifest itself - that is unreal.
If something is unreal, it does not mean that it is non-existent. Unreal is that which does not exist, yet appears to exist, that which dies not really exist but is illusory and appears to exist. You dream during the night and you cannot say that the dream has never existed. If it did not exist at all, then how could you have seen that dream?
When you wake up in the morning, you cannot say that you never had a dream - that the dream never existed. The dream did really happen'  you saw it, you felt it and that is why you had reactions.
The dream was real for you, but it was not the same reality which you experience when you are awake. the dream really existed for you. In which category would you place it? Did the dream really exist, or not? The dream did occur, but at the same time you can say that it never happened.
You may say that the dream falls into category of the unreal, but you cannot say that it belongs to the category of the non - existent. That which is unreal lays in between existence and non-existence. it appears to be real, but it is not.
While we are dreaming, we do not realise that our dream is not real; while we dream, we feel that it is real. It is not the first time that you dream - yet it feels real. You have known this your whole life, yet when you go to sleep at night, you start dreaming and you feel that it is real -. But again in the morning you wake up and say that the dream was not real.
The dream appears to be real, it gives you the illusion of being real, but it is unreal. When we say that the world is unreal, it does not mean that the world does not exist; it simply means that you can become awakened in your ordinary conscious state.
When you wake up after a dream, you realize that the dream was not real. When you become spiritually awakened, you see reality as it is, and you realise that whatever you perceived in your ordinary conscious state was not real. Those who know this reality, do not become happy nor unhappy.
There is an interesting experiment which you can try at night, before you go to sleep, try and remember, keep reminding yourself while falling asleep that the moment you start dreaming you should become aware that you are dreaming. It will be difficult, but it is possible. As you fall deeper and deeper into sleep, keep reminding yourself - until you start dreaming. It is possible to succeed in this experiment within a few day. If you can remind yourself while you fall asleep, that suggestion will penetrate into your unconscious, and the very moment you will start dreaming, you will become aware that you are dreaming.
It is amazing; the moment you realise that you are dreaming - That is just a dream - the dream vanishes. When you know that you are dreaming, the dream is shattered. A dream can last only until you see the real; it can exist only until you see that which is real.
Our dreams are our own creation. Truth is not our creating.
Truth
When  Buddha became enlightened, people asked him; "What did you attain?" Buddha answered: I have not attained anything. I have only lost something" People became confused and asked him: We thought that you attained something!'. Buddha answered; I have not attained anything. I only came to know that which already existed. Yes I have lost something. I lost all that I had created; I have lost my ignorance. I have not gained knowledge, because knowledge was always present. I could not become wise, because I was holding on tightly to my ignorance. For sure I have lost something, but I have not gained anything. I gained only what was already mine, what I always had.
Understand well that all you need is to see with total awareness. Open your eyes. Awaken your intelligence. You need to observe carefully with total awareness and see the real. The moment we see the real, the unreal disappears on its own and only the real remains.
That which does not die, nor can be it be killed; that which exists within us is called the soul, and that which is outside us is called the divine. That which can be killed, which can kill and can experience being killed, we call ' body'
In human perspective nothing seems to be more certain than death. Everything in life seems to be uncertain, death appears to be the only certainty. One thing sure is death. Everything keeps changing; For all human, whether he is successful, rich, poor, famous or a sinner, death is certain. But for divine , say Krishna, one thing is absolutely certain; death is an impossibility. Death is deception because those who see death as real, cannot experience anything else in life except their bodies.
Death at the level of body is not a death and only the death of innermost core of the person is death.
There was a yogi called Brahmayogi, who performed an experiment on death in three different institutions; Oxford University, Kolkata University and Rangoon University. He was able to die just for ten minutes. His breath stopped, then his pulse stopped and finally his heart beat topped and blood stopped flowing through his vessels. Ten doctors from the medical faculty of Oxford University certified that he was dead - as he did not show any signs of life.
After 10 minutes, Brahmayogi came back to life, he started breathing again, his heart started beating, blood started flowing in his vessels, his pulse came back. Doctors were surprised,.
In fact, when we talk about death, we mean that the body is slipping away - just like the light of a lamp begins to fade.
If you turn the light switch off, the bulb no longer gives light and you find yourself in darkness. Does that mean that there is no more electricity? It just means that light is no more manifested. When you turn the light switch on, the bulb lights up and the current starts flowing again. Does it mean that electricity has suddenly resurrected? Electricity was always present, although it was not manifested.
What we call death is simply the event where the manifested becomes un-manifested. What we call birth is simply the event where the un-manifested becomes manifested.
The soul never dies. In fact, that which is beyond both, death and salvation - that is the soul, that is existence.
Space
Whoever has dissolved into this universe has become all pervading and indestructible, but the substance which constitutes this universe is tangible and destructible. For example; in a room with no furniture there is emptiness. There is space within the room, and that space pervades the entire room. For sure that space existed even when the room did not exist. We have built the four walls of the room, just to enclose that space. That space existed even before the room was created. That space will exist even after the room is no more. The room exists, and the space exists as well. The room is created and some day will be destroyed. Once upon a time it did not exist, and some day in the future it will not exist anymore. But the space within the room has always existed; it exists now and will exist forever.
In fact, it is inappropriate to use such words as 'existed', 'exists', and ' will exist' - in relation to space - because that which has never come into existence, we cannot say that it exists. We can only say that something exists in relation to that which one day will not exist anymore. It is correct to say that a tree exists; it is right to say that a man exists. But it is inappropriate to say that existence ' exists'
That is the reason why a person like Buddha, who is the ultimate flowering of religion, never said that god exists,. Ignorant people misunderstood him and thought that he was an atheist, but Buddha felt that it would be a big mistake to declare that god exists. Because when you say that something exists, you imply that it exists now, but it may not exist later. It is right to say that man exists; because he exists now, and tomorrow will not exist anymore. But it is not right to say that god 'is' or that god 'exists', because god simply means 'is-ness' - that which is. One is forced to say that god 'is', although it is not correct - it is tautology.
An empty space simply exists; it would exist even if the room was not there. We fill the room with objects like furniture, photos etc. Now there are two dimensions in the room; the space which has always existed, and all the objects which we have placed in the room in order to fill it. We are never aware of the space which exists within the room, we see only the objects that fill the room. One cannot see emptiness. When a chair is placed in the room, you see only the chair which occupies the space. If you remove the chair and all the objects in the room, you may say: "there is nothing left in the room". You will only notice four walls of the room; and if you remove those four walls, you will say that the room has disappeared. But these four walls are not the room itself. The word 'room' means ' empty space'. You do not even notice it. Because we do not retain within ourselves a memory of an empty space;
You may understand that emptiness has no beginning and no end, but whatever objects you place in an empty space have a beginning and an end. Space is limitless; sky is limitless;
Objects are created and destroyed. That which is created and eventually destroyed is tangible, and can be perceived. That which is never created and never destroyed, is subtle and cannot be perceived.
Subtle is not to be used to describe something which is part of tangible reality. It is generally used to mean something as 'small' but part of something 'big' .Subtle refers to that which is not tangible. What is tangible? Whatever can be perceived by all the five senses. It is also that which cannot be contained in a thought. So it is beyond all most minute particles. Subtle is not something which can be known, or unknown today which can be known tomorrow. Because both are tangible. It is unknowable that which cannot be known, which is beyond the known  or unknown.
Nothingness
Nothingness and everything-ness: these are two ways of saying the same thing, either in a positive sense, or in a negative sense. When we talk about nothingness, we choose the negative; when we mention the totality, the whole, we choose the positive. But it is interesting; nothingness is the whole, and the whole is nothingness. Nothingness is a whole because you cannot divide nothingness in two parts. No matter how much you take away from it, nothingness does not become smaller; no matter how much you add to it, nothingness does not become bigger.
Nothingness means you can neither ad, nor take anything away from it. The word 'totality' has the same meaning. When you start adding number it goes on and on and on.... till it is expressed as infinity. On the other hand if you start reducing numbers it goes negative till it is expressed as infinity. This is the place where nothingness and everything-ness meet.
So we have two ways of expressing the same infinity. Either we choose positive term, or the negative term. Same way there is no conflict between philosophy of Buddha and Shankara; They just differ in their choice of either negative or positive words.
Buddha uses words that have negative connotation. He says "Nothing exists. There is only nothingness. There is only nirvana". Nirvana means; blowing out the flame. The flame is extinguished. This is the truth; there is only nothingness"
Sankara says: "Everything exists; there is god, there is liberation, there is knowledge."He uses words which have a positive connotation. But amazing that both, Buddha and Shankara point exactly towards the same thing.
Sufi Mystic
A friend told that there is a Sufi Mystic who saw god everywhere - in each and every particle of existence. " Can he see both at the same time - a particle and god? at the same time. The friend answered: "Yes, he can see god in each and every particle" I asked "Does he see the particle? Can he also see god in the particle? Is it so?.When I asked if he can see god, then he should not be able to see the particle; if he can see the particle, it means that god has been an idea which is superimposed. He needs to make an effort in order to see god"
If a person says that he can see god in every particle of existence, he sees two things at the same time; The particle and god. But one cannot see both simultaneously. A person can see only one thing at a time, If he can see god, he should not be able to see the particle because there is no more space for god once you focus on a particle. It is difficult to see god if you focus on a particle.
I said that he must have made an effort, and must have convinced himself; he must have read somewhere in the scriptures that god exists in each and every particle. But Sufi answered that he can see god everywhere. But I told that you must have made lot of effort in the past years. I offered him to stay with me and said that he should not make any effort to see god'
When Sufi stayed he did not make any effort to see god and so he did not see god anymore. I said " You have been seen god for years and all is lost just because you stop making an effort for a few hours.. This means that you were dreaming of god and projecting your dream onto the trees - but this has nothing to do with god. If you convince yourself that god exists in the trees, you will start seeing god in each and every tree
Your should not impose your god onto the world. You should become awakened in the wold. Once you are awakened, the world disappears and only the divine remains.

Soul
The soul neither comes, nor goes; the body comes and goes.  There are two bodies to be considered.  The body which is visible to us originates from one's own father and mother. This body is born and has limitations; it has a certain lifespan, and eventually it comes to an end.  This body is a medium, it is instrumental. One can only acquire it from one's own parents, who simply create the right environment, for the medium to be born from the mother's womb. The body which is visible to us begins with birth, and ends with death - it comes and goes.
There is another body which is the clothing of the soul. The physical body is part of your outer clothing, while the other body Is just like underwear, which you wear under your clothes.  The second body is the subtle body, which originates from your previous life. The subtle body is made out of subtle substance, just like electricity -  it is composed of minute electrical particles, comes from your past life. That body goes on a journey; that body can travel.
This second body, the subtle body, enters the physical body of the mother – it enters the womb. It is a natural process; just like water falling down the mountain side.
Normally, people are reborn immediately after they die, as millions of wombs are available the whole time on this planet. It is only the extraordinary individual waits to get an appropriate womb. It does not matter whether he is evil or virtuous. Both individuals like Gandhi and Hitler may take time, According to our time scale it may even be hundreds of years.
Mediocre individuals can immediately find wombs and can be reborn any day, without a big time gap.
Soul movement
Take an example of tram which runs with the help of electricity. Electricity runs through wires which run above their tracks, Trams move, but the wires are fixed; electricity is supplied from above and trams run
below the electric wires . Similarly, the soul is all pervading – just like electricity – it is everywhiere. Only our subtle bodies keep changing. When the subtle body dissolves, it is as it a tram would stop running. Electricity keeps flowing, even though the tram stops. The tram comes to a halt; similarly, the subtle body dissolves; it is not that the soul becomes one with existence, as the subtle body disappears. The soul has always been one with existence; the wall which was created by the subtle body made it appear as it it was separate,. Now it does not appear to be separate anymore.
For example, we may switch on a light which has a hundred watt bulb. Other lights may have bulbs of fifty, twenty or even five watts – which look like glow worms. All the bulbs are illuminated by the same electric current, and each one of them uses electricity according to it wattage. Differences is supply vary according to the different appliances – the fan, the microphone, the bulb.
Existence is everywhere, all around us. We have a subtle body, a subtle instrument that uses the energy of existence in order to live according to its needs. Hence, if our subtle body needs only five watts, we take only five watts of energy from existence; if our subtle body needs fifty watts, we take fifty watts of energy from existence. Existence is not miserly. We use only the amount of energy that is within our capacity. If we wish, we can increase our capacity upto one thousand watts, and we can shine as much as Mahivira or Buddha. If I would like to have an infinite number of watts! Break the bulb, so that I can obtain an unlimited amount of watts!
Liberation simply means; you realize that all light bulbs, all appliances have limitations. You discard all light bulbs, in order to become one with the whole.
There is a fallacy in our language, therefore we say that an individual becomes one with the whole. Only the whole exists. The instrument is the hindrance; hence, there are limitations. When instrument is no more, only the whole is.
The soul never comes and goes. The subtle body comes and goes. The physical body comes and goes. The physical body comes from our parents; the subtle body comes from our past lives. The soul is eternal.
Without the subtle body, one cannot acquire a physical body. When the subtle body dissolves, one cannot acquire a physical body anymore. When the subtle body disappears – as soon as the subtle body is dropped – the journey of the physical body comes to an end. At the same time, all limitations are dropped. To embark on spiritual journey means to drop the subtle body – to let go of the bridge which connects our physical body to existence. Letting go of the bridge, that is the essence of spiritual journey.
It is important to understand the nature of the subtle body. It is made up of our desires, our lust, our wishes, our expectations, our actions, our non-actions, our thoughts – whatever we have done – all our thoughts, all our efforts, all our experiences, all our feelings. Our subtle body is a by-product of all these electrical currents.
When the subtle body disappears, there two consequences. First of all, the journey comes to an end, and you stop searching for a womb.
After his enlightenment, Buddha said, “You are my mind, and you have resided in many different bodies. No you can finally rest. Upto now you have created many different homes for me, but from know on, you do not need to create any more homes for me.
When Buddha was about to die, people asked him” when your soul will meet existence, where will you be?” Buddha replied: “If I am somewhere, how can I be one with existence?” Because in order to be somewhere, he cannot be everywhere.  Buddha replied; “Do not ask, I will not be anywhere, because I will be everywhere”. But the disciples kept asking, “Tell us – where will you be?”He said like drops joining the ocean. Drop can only say “come to the ocean and you will meet me. But you will not see the drop; you will see only the ocean.
The drop has disappeared into the ocean, and you keep creating statues – it is paradox. There is no point in creating statues. If you want to meet the drop, you will have to come to the ocean.

If you wish to meet Buddha, Krishna, Mahavira, Jesus, Mohammed – you will not be able to meet the single drops. No matter how many statues you create, you will never be able to meet the single drop. The drop disappears and it is only ocean.
“The soul is never born and never dies” So what we call the soul is what is existence.
The clouds are formed in the sky, then they disappear; the clouds keep appearing and disappearing, but the sky is without a beginning and without an end. Consider the soul as the sky – the inner space, the inner sky.
It will be easier if we replace the word ‘soul’ with the word, ‘existence’. The word ‘soul’ appears to be connected to the “I”. We always believe that the soul is another name for the ego.. I is the name given to a wave which arises out of existence. This wave rises and eventually falls, You should put the “I” aside, as the soul is not related in any way to the ego – there is not even a remote connection. When you put the “I” aside, what remains is the soul.
Freedom
Freedom is always double edged - in all dimensions of life. The soul is free. Existence is free; it does not depend upon anything else - apart from existence itself. Freedom always implies two choices. the soul can embark on both journeys, according to its wish; it can move into the world, into the body, into the bondage, or it can move beyond bondage, beyond the world, beyond the body.. These are the two possibilities. Both the experience of being in the world and the experience of transcending the world - are fundamental experiences and are unavoidable. It is impossible to experience peace, if one has not experienced turmoil; it is not possible to experience liberation, if one has not experience bondage. If a rich man wants to enjoy his wealth he will be able to do only when he loses it at least temporarily to realise that the wealth was worth possessing.
You need to be miserable before you can be happy; you need to lose it before you can find it. True being is attained only when you are no more. You need to be in bondage before you can be liberated. You need to be ignorant before you can attain knowledge.

Osho's Thought

You exist in time, but you belong to eternity. You are a penetratoin of eternity into the world of time. You are deathless, living in a body of death. Your consciousness knows no death, no birth. It is only your body that is born and dies - but you are not aware of your consciousness.

From birth to death man is a long sleep, sometimes dreaming with eyes closed, sometimes dreaming with eyes open, but dreaming all the same, all the time.

Note : This is only a scribbling note. These are purely my understanding. These may or may not be the correct one. This is not to hurt anybody's feeling.
